Founder & Director, Product Innovation

Ted Turnour brings over four decades of leadership experience spanning military service, entrepreneurship and sustainable product innovation. A former Army Officer with the Australian Defence Force, Ted later built and scaled several businesses with a focus on modular design, advanced materials and emerging technologies.

As Founder of Syngensis, Ted leads product innovation and IP development, applying circular economy principles to infrastructure challenges. His work has resulted in the creation of patented systems that repurpose recycled plastics and tires into high-performance building and road materials. His passion for sustainable design and housing affordability helped catalyze the formation of Syngensis, where he continues to drive technical vision and commercial strategy.

Based in Brisbane, Ted holds a BA from the University of Tasmania and remains a lifelong learner, dedicated to applying practical solutions that deliver real-world impact.

Director, Strategic Partnerships & Government Affairs

Skip Muller is a seasoned technology strategist and former U.S. Navy officer with over 25 years of international experience in cybersecurity, government consulting and business development. After serving as a Surface Warfare Officer aboard the USS Decatur and USS John C. Stennis, Skip transitioned into the private sector, where he led large-scale IT and cybersecurity programs across North America, Europe and South America for Fortune 500 firms and allied government agencies.

He later co-founded a cybersecurity consulting and technology development firm, advising senior leaders on strategic technology procurement and digital security. Most recently, he served as an advisor to a senior U.S. government official overseeing a $12B+ portfolio focused on economic development, energy and water programs.

At Syngensis, Skip leads strategic partnerships and government affairs, helping to position climate-resilient innovations like Polypave for adoption across global markets. His ability to bridge the public and private sectors has made him a key driver of Syngensis’ cross-border growth strategy.

Based in the United States, Skip is also an active supporter of humanitarian and veteran-focused organizations, with ongoing work in mine clearance, heritage preservation, and community reintegration.

Director, Governance & Public Sector Engagement

Ric Odom is an experienced executive and governance advisor with a background spanning military leadership, nonprofit management and public sector strategy. A former officer in the New Zealand Army, Ric held command, intelligence and training roles across multiple regions, including Papua New Guinea and the Former Yugoslavia, where he developed deep expertise in strategic planning, operational leadership and interagency coordination.

Following his military service, Ric transitioned to the not-for-profit and public sectors, serving in senior executive and CEO roles. He has led national organizations through complex governance, strategic planning, contract negotiations and performance improvement initiatives. His ability to navigate government relations, from regional officials to central ministries, has made him a trusted liaison between community organizations and policy-makers.

At Syngensis, Ric supports global engagement strategies and public sector partnerships, with a focus on aligning climate-resilient infrastructure solutions with the needs of governments and communities.

Ric holds a Master’s Degree in Defence Studies, a Graduate Diploma in Management Studies and is a graduate of the Australian Army Command and Staff College. 

He is based near Nelson, New Zealand, and actively contributes to multiple boards and community initiatives at both local and national levels.

Director, Operations & Business Strategy

Vat Ross is an accomplished entrepreneur and operational strategist with a proven track record of building and scaling ventures across diverse industries. She founded and led a multimillion-dollar enterprise and has since become a trusted consultant to startups and small businesses in sectors ranging from green tech and construction to IT.

Based in the United States, Vat brings deep expertise in business operations, project execution, and strategic process design to her role at Syngensis. Her ability to implement scalable systems, resolve organizational challenges, and strengthen margins has positioned her as a key contributor to the company’s infrastructure initiatives.

In addition to her advisory work, 

Vat is a seasoned real estate investor and project manager with hands-on experience in residential property development. She also channels her creativity as an author and illustrator, contributing to values-based storytelling for youth.

Her  multidisciplinary approach and operational acumen make her a vital part of Syngensis’ leadership as the company advances sustainable infrastructure solutions globally.

Director, Strategic Partnerships & Global Engagement

Susan Watts is an accomplished global executive advisor with a rare blend of experience spanning finance, corporate strategy, artificial intelligence and oncology advocacy. Currently based in the UAE as Deputy Chief of Staff and Executive Assistant to the Head of Artificial Intelligence at G42, Susan supports high-level decision-making and international partnerships at the intersection of innovation and impact.

Her career has included advising ultra-high-net-worth individuals, managing complex transactions in global finance, and driving stakeholder alignment across diverse cultural and operational contexts. She has held leadership and advocacy roles in oncology and healthcare, using her skills to improve patient outcomes and advance care models worldwide.

At Syngensis, Susan brings strategic insight and a global network to help scale transformative infrastructure solutions. With professional experience across Australia, Europe, North America and the Middle East, she excels at building trust-based relationships and converting vision into tangible business outcomes.

Director, Market Strategy & Communications

Donna Galloway is a seasoned marketing strategist and product leader with more than 20 years of experience launching innovation-driven solutions across fintech, infrastructure and regulated industries. 

She specializes in turning complex technologies into compelling narratives that attract investment, drive adoption and align with public policy goals.

At Syngensis, Donna leads global marketing strategy and communications, with a focus on introducing climate-resilient solutions like Polypave into new markets. She supports partnership development, investment readiness, and external positioning across jurisdictions, including Canada, where she resides.

Donna also serves as CFO and board member of the Open Finance Network of Canada (OFNC), bringing a governance mindset and ESG lens to Syngensis’ global infrastructure mission.

Director, Strategy & Ecosystem Partnerships

Graham Westwood is a seasoned strategist and ecosystem builder with a strong track record in advisory, analytics and partnership innovation. As a former CEO and Founding Partner, he has worked with global companies and public sector clients to design data-informed strategies that drive growth, sustainability and policy alignment.

Graham’s experience includes supporting infrastructure modernization efforts across sectors such as transportation, energy and public works, helping clients navigate capital planning and stakeholder. His work bridges commercial, civic and environmental priorities to ensure long-term impact.

At Syngensis, Graham provides strategic direction and leads ecosystem engagement. He helps map and activate cross-sector partnerships across infrastructure, technology and government, opening pathways for Polypave’s adoption in regulated markets and development-focused public sectors globally.

Graham holds a B.Sc. in Biology from the University of Guelph and earlier training in pressure pipe welding, grounding his strategic perspective with hands-on infrastructure knowledge. Based in Toronto, Graham brings deep fluency in cross-sector collaboration, business model innovation and policy prioritization, essential capabilities for scaling climate-resilient infrastructure solutions.

Director, Global Business Development

Mohamed Bhyat is a senior advisor and development strategist with over 40 years of international experience in infrastructure planning, environmental systems and public-sector transformation. 

He has worked across Africa, Latin America, Europe and North America, advising governments, utilities, and development agencies on integrated planning, digital governance, and sustainable technology deployment.

At Syngensis, Mohamed leads global business development efforts, with a focus on embedding climate-resilient technologies like Polypave into broader infrastructure, R&D and policy frameworks. His deep understanding of how to align public priorities with technical innovation helps Syngensis build meaningful partnerships that drive adoption and impact.

Based in Toronto, Canada, Mohamed holds multiple postgraduate qualifications in Environmental Science, GIS and Geology, and brings a rare combination of technical, geopolitical, and business fluency to the Syngensis leadership team.
